1. Why did you start your blog?
“I started the HR-XML blog with a challenging goal in mind. The end-user of an HR-XML specification is a software developer. This is someone who codes and configures interfaces with other HR systems. However, the HR-XML specifications are intended to support business services — e.g., an order, enrollment, or posting between or among arms-length trading partners. So in addition to the software developer, I also needed to reach the product, integration services, or alliance partner manager who oversees and plans the business-side of integrations. Then, of course, there is the end-user customer who definitely has an interest in standards, but who is ever more distant from decisions regarding integration (but not so distant from the impact of those decisions).
