Laurie and I survived the final day of the conference. We took a shuttle with about 10 other attendees to Zappos’ headquarters in Henderson, NV. It was only about a 20 minute drive & it was nice to get out of The City.
Zappos is cool, just like you’ve heard. Energetic, smiling & laughing employees; crazy decorations & free beverages & food are in abundance.
I’m wiped out tired, so I will just post some pictures today and post a wrap up on the conference tomorrow or the next day.
Above is a typical cube.

Whenever the company hits a milestone, they make t-shirts for their employees. This one says “My company sold 3 million dollars in one day, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.”

Typical department decorations. This place is not for the easily over-stimulated.

I have no idea what happened here. I didn’t want to ask. These cube dividers have no glass, by the way.

Shewz!

What’s on your office door?

This is the ceiling above the CEO’s cube. Yes, the executives sit in cubes right next to the employees.
