I think there are a few more things to consider. Yes, the posting makes a HUGE difference but so does the place(s) you are posting. Due to the high costs of most “top” job boards many employers can only afford to advertise their position on one site or, use free classified websites such as CraigsList.com.
Employers should consider posting on multiple job boards such as InovaHire.com (http://www.inovahire.com) which offers free postings to employers. While many “free job boards” promote their services as free, InovaHire.com has proven to be the only free job board that is actually free. Further, they don’t allow old jobs or resumes to appear in search results.
