Business Is Not The Problem

Movies hate business – No business is good; land developers are always evil; all bosses are bad.  The media only talks about corrupt executives, pollution, excess profits and greed.  “Let’s tax them and regulate them,” cry the politicians.  Speaking of politicians, I don’t see any capitalistic solutions coming out of Washington during this economic debacle either.

Enough is enough.  You can only bite the hand that feeds you so long.  Business means jobs and prosperity.  Where is our voice?  Where is the Chamber of Commerce?  Who is speaking up for business?  The silence is deafening.

If I was King of America, I would create a panel of respected business persons whose charter would be to figure out how we reinstate manufacturing back in this country again and how we grow business in general.  Solutions would include incentives, union concessions, better management, reasonable regulations, less bureaucracy, efficiency measures and education. I would ensure that media would be “fair and balanced.”

Well, I am not King of America (thank goodness!), I am a Human Resource Professional.  All I know is that Business is not the problem; Business is the solution.
