What is HRM Today?

HRM Today is an interactive social networking site for Human Resources professionals and practitioners – created by Lance Haun, Jenn Barnes, and Laurie Ruettimann, and now owned and managed by the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp). The site includes two areas: a main page with HR blogs that are known for excellent and thoughtful content, and a related social networking site, formerly known as HR Bloggers, that is built on a NING platform.

What do you do?

HRM Today seeks to elevate the profession of Human Resources and increase media awareness of Human Resources through blogging, social networking, and aggressive use of other Web 2.0 technologies.

Why are you so special?

  • Our website has a personality. The site is run by Erik Samdahl and Patrick Bradshaw, and we deal directly with our members. We are REAL people and we aren’t afraid to speak our minds.
  • We believe in democratic participation. HRM Today was created to focus on HR professionals who want to elevate our profession, network with other engaging HR leaders, and learn more about blogging and Web 2.0.
  • We don’t charge a membership fee. There is no magazine or certification classes. The focus is on community.

Where can I find you elsewhere online?
